Servers down

Trouble with GameServers.com, more info later.

wtf!? again?

Yeah, since they still haven't replied, i'll write down the story for everyone asking me whats going on.

Basically, due to some sort of fault from their site, I did not receive any emails that I had to pay the monthly $3,95 for the ventrilo server. So when I logged in a few days ago, I noticed I was 8 days overdue on a $3,95 payment. I payed immediately with paypal, but this morning they emailed me that they had not received the money yet so they closed down my account at gameservers.com

Instead of just suspending the service in question (ventrilo server)
they deleted my account, so ALL services connected to my account (stf server, which was still payed for till 15-02-10, ventrilo, and the old website) were removed.

Meaning those IP's were available for new customers again. As you can see on the server monitor our ventrilo server has been assigned to a new customer already, and thats probably gonna happen with our server IP too. So pretty much over 1 years work in getting the IP known amongst ET players, high in the server ranks etc, is gone.
OVER $3,95

I emailed them, and so far they haven't given any explanation.
Probably scared cause they know they're morons, and they fucked up.

My gameserver, that I've had since november 2008, and which has been payed for until 15-02-10 (typo in earlier message) has been closed incorrectly, and I want that solved, as soon as possible.

Aaand the soap continues. Hopefully it doesn't take them another 4 hours to send me an answer as retarded as the previous one..

To all members/regulars, if anyone asks what happened to the server, tell them to keep checking the stf forum, we will probably end up at a new host with a new IP

Man, wtf. Bad news. Hope all will be fixed soon.

Update: I could be a fraud, for security reasons I need to make a new ticket again, with my GameServers account, and not by email.

Why a fraudulous person would want to try and get someone else's server back up is a mystery to me, but they seem to see a connection.

if they dont give you the same ip, you got to step over to YCN:) sometimes trouble with lag but everyone has that and its a lot cheaper

For now I managed to get the server back, but after the current period for which I payed, we will move to YCN.
Today I've done some research, turns out I can save tens of euros every paying period (3 months) at YCN, and this whole fucked up business with GameServers gave an extra push. We're moving to YCN on 15-02-10. That way we have almost a month to announce it in the server banners etc and get all regulars to know the new IP :}

That means I will probably be able to move everyone's XP and adminlevels too.

Hm, server doesn't want to start yet.

Yea u can just copy the level.db and user.db ^^

There all info on admin levels and userlist is stored (at least in my server)

When will you order new server? so that we got some IP already to announce
